John COCKING married Jane ANDREW on 14th July 1804 at Spridlington, Lincolnshire.
Jane already had two illegitimate children, twins Robert and Ann, born 1803 at Spridlington.
John and Jane had two children, William, 1806, and John, 1809, at Spridlington. John and Jane then
moved to Askham in Nottinghamshire and had George, b. 1812, and Robert, b. 1816.
Son George died in 1812 at Askham and their son Robert, b. 1816, died at Askham in 1820.
It is unlikely that John COCKING is the father of Jane?s illegit. children because John and Jane later had a
son Robert together at Askham in 1816.
In the Census of 1861 Jane COCKING is living at the Methodist Chapel in Clayworth, Notts., with their
son William COCKING a farmer, and his second wife Jane.
John COCKING appears to have died in 1837 at Askham.
Jane died in 1862, aged 93, at Woodcotes in Askham parish.
