appear to be two generations of Samuel and Mary JOWET at Aberford.
Samuel JOWET, a labourer, and his wife Mary had 2 children at Aberford, West Yorkshire;
John 1801 and Elizabeth 1806.
The marriage of Samuel and Mary has not been found.
Samuel was buried at Aberford on 10th May 1823 aged 69.
Mary was buried at Aberford on 11 November 1833 aged 76.

On 17th February 1824 John married Hannah MANNERS of Bardsey at Aberford.
John and Hannah had 9 children ; James 1824, William 1826, Sarah 1828, Mary I 1829 (Died 1832),
Anne 1832, Elizabeth 1834, John 1836, Charles 1838 and Mary II 1841.
In the 1841 Census of Aberford, Parlington township, John JAWITT is a groom.
In the 1851 Census of Aberford John GOWETT is a farm labourer.
In the 1881 Census of Aberford John JOWITT is a widower and agricultural labourer
living in Becca Lane.
Hannah died in 1875 aged 75 and John died in 1883 aged 84.

Mary JOWET, the daughter of John and Mary, was bapt. 4th April 1841 at Aberford.
Mary married John JENNINGS, from Newington, Oxfordshire, on 29 December 1860 at Aberford.
John JENNINGS died in 1877 aged 38 at Aberford and Mary, with their son William,
