William and Ellen are likely to have had other children - Anne 1639, William, Penelope 1659 and
William's wife Ellen was buried at Matlock 15th October 1687 as a widow.

Katherine 1661, Charles 1663 and Roger 1664.
Wife Elizabeth was buried at Matlock on 15 July 1666.
Nicholas then married Mary BOND on 1 December 1666 at Matlock, St. Giles.
Their children were:- Joshua 1667, Dorothy 1669, Francis 1672, Samuel 1677 and Hannah 1681.
Samuel WARD, the son of Nicholas and Mary WARD was bapt. 20 February 1677 at Matlock, St. Giles.
Samuel is thought to have married Barbara Mary SAINT on 26 June 1701 at Ashover, Derbyshire.
Their children bapt. at Matlock were :- Mary 1702, Sarah 1705(D. 1709), Barbara 1707,
Samuel 1709, Francis 1713, John 1719, Thomas 1723 and Elizabeth 1725(D. 1725).
Samuel WARD was buried at Matlock on 4 June 1758.
Samuel WARD, the son of Samuel and Barbara was bapt. 28 August 1709 at Matlock, St. Giles.
Samuel married Elizabeth ALSOPP, of Brassington, on 7 (or17)th October 1731 at Brassington,
which is 6 miles from Matlock.
Their children bapt. at Matlock were:- Robert 1732, Thomas 1733, John 1739, Anne 1743,
Sarah 1746, Samuel 1748, Elizabeth 1752, William 1754, Joshua 1756 and Mary 1760.
Joshua WARD, the son of Samuel and Barbara, was bapt. 26th December 1756 at Matlock.
On the 5th August 1782 Joshua married Docey JACKSON at North Wingfield, Derbyshire.
Joshua and Docey had 8 children bapt. at North Wingfield :- John 1782, Mary 1795, Sarah 1787,
William 1790, George 1796, Elizabeth 1802, Samuel 1805 and Ann 1809.
Joshua was buried on 19 Apr 1843 at North Wingfield, aged 86.
Wife Docey was buried on 13th August 1832, aged 66, at North Wingfield, of Stretton.
Ann WARD, the daughter of Joshua and Docey was bapt. 8 September 1809 at North Wingfield.
On 25 September 1862 Ann married John DERBYSHIRE at North Wingfield. Ann and John had 3 children
at N. Wingfield before moving to John's parish of Yeaveley and Shirley.
Ann died at Shirley on 13th May 1867.
